Can I physically visit my tree?
Every tree includes open GPS coordinates. While some regions are remote or protected conservation zones, you are welcome to visit any publicly accessible planting site.
How do you verify that a tree was actually planted?
Every single planting is physically logged by our field teams with a time-stamped, GPS-tagged photograph at the time of planting, which is then uploaded directly to our open ledger.
How does TreePassport verify tree planting coordinates?
Every tree registered on TreePassport must be scanned via our field mobile client. The app extracts high-accuracy GPS coordinates at the moment of scanning and automatically uploads the data. TreePassport admins review the uploaded visual seedling proof within five days before approving the coordinates to the public registry, to prevent double-counting.
Can corporate sponsors export verification data?
Our public ledger under the Registry tab allows corporate ESG compliance officers to download a standardized CSV coordinate spreadsheet containing all verified latitude, longitude, planter names, and species details for transparency.
How does TreePassport work for airlines?
TreePassport connects travel activity to verified tree-growing projects. When a passenger flies, books a corporate trip, ships cargo, or participates in loyalty programs, a tree is funded and planted through community partners. Each tree is digitally registered and tracked through its lifecycle.
How are trees verified?
Every tree is assigned a unique TreePassport ID with GPS coordinates, species information, and planting records. Field teams use mobile verification tools, photo evidence, and periodic site audits. Satellite imagery and GIS mapping are also used to confirm survival and growth.
How is impact measured?
Impact is measured using a combination of verified field data and digital monitoring systems. This includes tree survival rates, hectares restored, estimated carbon sequestration, biodiversity indicators, and community livelihood benefits. All data is consolidated into sponsor and passenger dashboards.
Can I gift a tree?
Yes. Trees can be gifted to individuals, organizations, or special occasions. Each gifted tree comes with a digital TreePassport showing its location, species, and growth updates, along with a personalized certificate of impact.
