Trillion TreePassport Model
The TreePassport for 1 Trillion Trees Model is a flagship global initiative that provides the verification, transparency, and accountability framework for ecosystem restoration efforts worldwide, supporting the objectives of the United Nations Decade on Ecosystem Restoration (2021–2030).
Our mission is to collaborate with governments, communities, organizations, and restoration partners to ensure that every tree planted is digitally registered with a unique TreePassport ID and issued an e-TreePassport Certificate. By 2050, we aim to create the world’s largest verified registry of living trees.
Through geotagging, continuous monitoring, and impact measurement, each tree can be tracked throughout its lifecycle, enabling stakeholders to verify its location, monitor its growth and survival, and measure its environmental and social contributions over time.
By transforming every tree into a verifiable digital asset, the campaign strengthens trust, improves restoration outcomes, and provides transparent evidence of progress toward global climate, biodiversity, and sustainable development goals.
