Tree Planting Sponsorship Terms

The service
Your payment sponsors a physical service: sourcing seedlings, planting real trees, supporting growers, field verification, GPS registration, monitoring and reporting. TreePassport is not a tax-exempt charity and the payment is not represented as a tax-deductible charitable donation.
Certificate and digital record
The e-TreePassport certificate and online passport are evidence of the physical planting service. They do not represent ownership of land, a regulated investment, a carbon credit, a financial product, or a separately purchased digital good.
Delivery and verification
Planting schedules depend on suitable seasons, seedling availability, project access and field conditions. A submitted sponsorship may first appear as pending. A tree is shown as verified only after the field evidence has been reviewed. Where an individual-tree allocation is not practical, sponsorship may support the selected project or the location where planting is most needed.
Tree survival and replacement
Trees are living organisms and survival cannot be guaranteed against drought, fire, pests, disease, extreme weather, land-access changes or other conditions outside reasonable control. TreePassport and its planting partners may replace failed seedlings, reallocate planting within the relevant project, or provide equivalent planting service where reasonably necessary.
Cancellations and refunds
Contact us promptly if you paid in error or supplied incorrect sponsorship details. A payment may be cancelled and refunded before procurement, allocation or planting work begins, less any non-refundable payment-provider charges where permitted by law. After physical service delivery has started, refunds are assessed according to the work already performed and applicable consumer law. Duplicate or unauthorized payments will be investigated and refunded where verified.
